Facebook New Game
With the 2016 UEFA European Championship underway, Facebook Messenger has added its own mini soccer tournament. To start playing, simply send a soccer emoji to a friend, click the ball and try to keep it in the air as long as possible.
Soccer isn’t the first sport to make its way to the app, as basketball and chess also debuted on the messaging service.
Facebook Messenger added basketball to the service in honor of March Madness and has since been played more than one billion times in the past three months.Once you have invited your friend to play soccer, the screen should change to an all-white display with a zero on the top and an enlarged soccer emoji on the bottom.
Simply tap the soccer ball to keep it in the air and the person who misses loses. It is not clear if all of the 900 million monthly users of Messenger can join in the fun, but make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the app before trying it out. If soccer isn’t your kind of game, basketball is still available on the app.
